Level 1 Badminton Coaching Course
The above course was held recently at Hengrove Park Leisure Centre over the 22/23 September and the Assessment on 7 October 2012.
Taking the course over the first weekend were Sue Rutson and Clive Ellames who said that this group was one of the best they had ever worked with!
The assessment was taken by Jane Lipton, Mark Albutt and James Elkin.
There were many Avon County Players taking part as well as some from further afield like Herefordshire, Southampton, Gloucestershire.
It was a very enjoyable and everyone passed the Assessment.

| Applications have now reopened for Athletes to apply to the
Wesport Talent Hubs.
The aim of the Talent Hubs is to develop physical skills that will help individuals perform better in their chosen sport and reduce the risk of injury both now and in the future.
By developing these movement skills the Talent hubs hope to give you the best chance of long term success both now and in the future.
The Talent Hubs are open to individuals between the ages of 12 & 15 that are performing at the top end of club level and/or county level and above.
The sessions are delivered by UKSCA accredited Strength and Conditioning coaches and cost £5 per session.
There are currently two Hub sites in operation.
North Talent Hub
Location – University of the West of England
Day – Tuesdays
Times – 6.30-7.30pm
South Talent Hub
Location – Ashton Park Sports Centre
Day – Thursdays
Times – 6.00-7.00pm
Individuals that are interested in attending need to visit www.wesport.org.uk/talent and complete the downloadable application form.
Successful applicants will be invited to attend the Talent Hubs at the next assessment session.
