Subject: Vision Update for Counties
Dear All
I just wanted to update all Counties on the current Vision situation and where we are. The majority of the processing that we wanted to complete in the Vision down time has now been completed, although some clubs have been contacted for further information before we are able to complete their affiliation process.
We have also been working very closely with our I.T suppliers to improve some functionality within Vision at the same time so we are just in the final stages of testing these fixes/updates to ensure all is ok for the Wizard to be moved to live as soon as possible.
The most recent update that I have had from our Suppliers means that we hope to have the Membership Wizard live again by the end of February.
Due to all the testing and administrative work that I and the membership team have been doing since the Wizard was taken off line in order to get as many clubs as possible active and fully affiliated, has meant that I have not been in a position to release a new financial report to you all.

Avon's Brenda Bird received the prestigeous English Badminton Award

Badminton England has reorganised its management structure in the South West. Susan Cooper is the full-time Regional Manager for the South West and will be based in Exeter. Hayley Pollock is the full-time Development Officer for Avon and Gloucestershire and will be based in the Wesport Offices in UWE, Filton, Bristol. These two individuals will be actively pursuing the development of badminton in Avon including the progression of Community Badminton Networks and Performance Centres. Susan and Hayley will, I am sure, be meeting lots of players, coaches and officials at a variety of badminton events in Avon and I trust everyone will give them their support in developing badminton in Avon.
 You will all be aware of the admirable work done by Penny Shears over recent years in her role as Badminton England Development Officer for Avon. Penny will no longer be working direct for Badminton England. However, Avon Badminton Association will continue to contract Penny for a limited number of hours to undertake project work specified by Avon. In addition, Penny will continue in her coaching roles throughout the Avon area.
